The first day of preschool

Today was Kyra's first day of preschool. She woke up at 6 am and wanted to know if it was time to go to school yet. (When she went to bed, she said she didn't want to go, so this was new). She proceeded to say she was all done sleeping, took off all of her clothes and said it was time to get dressed for school. Unfortunately, she doesn't have to be at school until 12:20 so it was a long day! She was very excited when we pulled into school and she saw some of her friend's mother's cars. She couldn't wait to get out of the car!
When we walked in, she hammed it up, saying cheese. Very different from the pictures taken at home where her bookback was over her face as she screamed "I don't want any pictures".

Kyra found her name tag....
Hung up her book bag...
And didn't cry when I left!! Hopefully we are off to a good start!

Cousin Mia just started preschool too, last week! A bit early, yes, but Mom needs some time w/o kids. Just two half days a week, almost "preschool training". She has cried from the first day, but it is subsiding.
