Family Fun Day

Daddy spent the day with us. First we made our weekly trip to Target, then we went to see the Easter Bunny. Kyra was so excited to see him. She walked right up to him, sat on his lap, told him she wanted chocolate eggies and money for Easter and gave a big smile when her picture was taken. We breezed in and out of there in seconds. Here is Kyra trying out her new bunny ears. Then we were off to art class where today's theme was dental hygiene. We made mouths out of play-dooh and rocks and practiced brushing and flossing them. We glued teeth into a paper cut out of a boy's head, although some of our teeth got glued to his ear. Then we painted a tooth white using white paint and a toothbrush. After class, Kyra showed Daddy how she rides the roller coaster.
We had our weekly lunch at Nothing But Noodles where Kyra loves the mac and cheese with breadstick. After a long day, Kyra fell asleep on the ride home. She was so excited to have her Daddy see her in action.

Kyra and the Ladybugs

Kyra has a love for ladybugs. For Valentine's Day, we made some chocolate ladybug lollipops and put them in ladybug baggies. Here Kyra is wearing her ladybug shirt and posing with her ladybug lollipop. With the wacky weather this year, we have had several ladybugs living in our master bathroom. Kyra just loves to wake up and see "Lucy the ladybug" each day.

Kyra and Maggie at the museum

Our computer was down for a while, hence the long lapse since the last posting. Kyra has been getting quite imaginative lately and loves playing ice cream shop, with her dollies, beauty salon, ect. She even came with me to get my hair cut and got her bangs cut which she absolutely loved.

Kyra and I traveled to New Hampshire last weekend to visit Auntie, Diddy and Maggie. We went to a museum and Kyra just loved the beauty "palace". All she wanted to do was wash and style Maggie's hair (the little that she has) .... Doesn't Maggie's hair look nice.

They also liked driving in the fire engine.

Mommy, I got boo-boos....

Be forewarned, some may find this sick and twisted, others will find it hysterical, as I did. Remember this is a 2 year old!

Those with infants need to watch then 24/7 for fear of what they will put in their mouth. Those with 2 year olds need to watch then 24/7 for fear of what they will get into. Today... pantyliners, yes pantyliners (as I type this, I can see you laughing Fiona and am counting the days until we come visit you).

As I entered the bathroom, Kyra swung around and said, "Mommy, I got boo-boos." You have to admit, they do kind of look like bandaids. She had stuck 3 pantyliners on her jammies while I was in the bedroom getting dressed.

Our little flower

Not too much to report on. We start an art class next week that Kyra is very excited about. We are off to CT for a few days to see Grammie, Poppie and Auntie and Maggie will be there too. Kyra is very excited to see Baby Maggie. She is calling her now on her Disney Princess cell phone. Kyra is also on her "phewty" (computer) while Mommy is typing this. She likes to do everything Mommy does.

I'm a Big Girl Now...

Kyra chewed gum for the first time a few days ago. She was in her car seat and said "Mommy, I'm a big girl now." I think everyone in the county knows since everywhere we go Kyra says "I'm chewing gum", "I'm a big girl" to everyone within ear shot.

Kyra and Maggie's adventures

Happy New Year! My family came to visit this weekend for our family Christmas. Kyra was thrilled to have everyone stay at her house and loved that her baby cousin Maggie was staying too. Kyra and Maggie had lots of fun together. They went sledding, built Frosty....

Took a bath together (the tub is indeed yellow from a tablet Santa left in Kyra's stocking to color the tub water)...

Played under the Christmas tree and with their new toys...
