Postcards from Iceland - Part III

More sights...
Barnafoss (The Children's Waterfalls) has been evolving through recorded history, as the river has dug itself down through the lava and runs in a deep and narrow ravine.
Here is a closer look at the terrain. You can see all of the patterns of how the lava flowed. The last volcanic eruption was in 1996 and they are due for one any time now
When in Iceland, do as the Vikings do.
