Flag Day Parade

Saturday was Flag Day, so we went to the parade. We took Kyra last year and she loved it, she actually sat in her chair for almost 2 hours while the parade went by. On the way there, we drove past her friend Caroline so we met up with them. Kyra and Caroline anxiously awaited the parade (you have to get there at least 30 minutes beforehand to secure a spot along the road). Kyra takes in the sights while Caroline contemplates how much candy she and Kyra can pick up as the parade participants go by throwing it. Once we saw the lights coming down the street, the girls took their seats and started to wave their flags. They had a great time clapping to the beat of the bands and waving their flags.
